Tipzy, founded by entrepreneurs from Tulane, Cornell, and Georgia Tech, revolutionizes the bar industry by simplifying song requests, enhancing playlist management, and amplifying customer engagement through its intuitive platform. This innovative solution addresses the challenges faced by bar owners, staff, and customers, aligning with the modern demands of the hospitality sector.


The Tulane Pitch Friday Competition, hosted by The Tulane Innovation Institute, the Lepage Center, and the Tulane Alumni Business Association (TABA), provided Tipzy with an exceptional platform to showcase its innovative concept and entrepreneurial prowess. Open to all Tulane students, both undergraduate and graduate, the competition welcomed ventures at all stages, offering participants the opportunity to pitch their ideas and receive valuable feedback from a panel of esteemed judges comprising Tulane alumni, entrepreneurs, and industry professionals.


Tipzy impressed judges and audience with its unique solution to a major industry issue, standing out among tough competition. As the winner of the Tulane Pitch Friday Competition, Tipzy secured not only a prestigious accolade but also a cash prize of $1,500 and a coveted spot in the grand prize round, slated for April. In the final showdown, Tipzy will compete against other top finalists for the chance to win up to $15,000 in cash prizes, along with $2,500 in pro bono legal services from Stone Pigman.
